Okay, so we all know that Ni-ki and Jay speak Japanese fluently..
But Sunghoon too?!
I’ll admit that as a non-Japanese speaker, it wasn’t on my radar, but I’m impressed that he can hold a [conversation with Jay](https://youtu.be/IdYXhA5KJGE?feature=shared&t=98). I can’t find a lot of videos with him speaking Japanese independently, so I’m guessing this is a recent development. That, or he wants to wait until he’s more confident. Here’s some [more crumbs of him speaking Japanese spontaneousl](https://youtu.be/EZRm_D5O25o?feature=shared&t=482)y: with Jake too! At this rate, we might get 4 J-line members LOL but I’d rather wait for more videos before including him.
Okay, *maybe* it’s a bit premature of me to give Sunghoon the title of ‘fluent,’ but I think he’s on the right track to getting there! Plus, Japanese and Korean share similar language structure, so I can imagine it’s much easier than learning English. The fact that Sunghoon chose their Japanese song Blossom for their [2023 song medley](https://youtu.be/4k65OdKOoj0?feature=shared&t=954) also shows his intentions to learn.
Let’s all wish Sunghoon well on his Japanese learning journey! I think he’s already doing a great job.
***P.S*** *if my title is too click-baity, I’m using girl maths to justify the new J-line addition:*
*Sunghoon’s 0.5 + Jake’s 0.25 = 0.75. And we round that to 1. Yes, this is what I’m using my high school diploma for.*
