Do I think it needed the upgrade? No not really, but it's cute and I like it a lot better now that I've seen it in person. I get far too excited about being able to swap things around and customize lighsticks so I like that they've kept the swappable deco ring. Would I love for them to release member rings similar to seventeen? Yes. Would that be a danger to my wallet? Yes. But it also leaves room for some talented engenes to design some deco rings.

The top EN- logo piece also unscrews and I have no idea why. I don't think it's safe to put anything in there due to the exposed light but maybe it's also supposed to be swappable.

I also love that this one has the engene logo and the deco ring says engene. It's like the first lightstick was for baby enha getting their names out there, and this one's for the fans <3

And most exciting of all – there's four loop hole spot things. This threw me off at first because there's usually one small rectangular spot for the strap to go through, and the two under the dome are terrible placement for holding it. But it means we can strap other things on easily! Also enjoying the frosted side bits.

Also ik it's for engenes, but logo reminds me of Sunghoon's paper rings.
