To preface this article, this was published by one of the biggest media network in the Philippines. The story is how she became an engene. She discovered Enhypen when her son was playing Polaroid Love. Her son bought her a VIP ticket and she watched Enhypen on their Bench Fanmeet.
I can relate to her in a sense when she said that she was hesitant to go to the fanmeet because of her age. Ageism is rampant in our fandom, anyone above 20's is being called a pedo or something. I don't know if it's just me but anyone saying that a person is a pedo are projecting because they see Enha as their bfs and think every other engene thinks like them lol. Though I did not hesitate to go to Enha concerts or events because I absolutely love their music, them as a group, and as performers and I just did not care if some engenes are younger than me, the ones I met irl are actually nice, two people even saved me a seat, so many engenes gave away freebies.
Love how she said that supporting Enha makes her happy. Love how Enha is getting support from across ages. Continuously gaining fans who supports them for their music and performances.

Awww ang cute ni Lola! I love my fellow Pinoy Engenes! Enha is so big in the Pinas and honestly it makes my heart swell with pride, especially when the boys are pleasantly surprised at how loud our people are LOL.
Random story: I visited the Philippines last September (for the first time in about 15 years, so it’s been a while lol) and the first time we drove up to our hotel, we went past this huge Enhypen photo/billboard(?) at the Bench/ in the adjacent mall. The way I was freaking out in the car (my family was like uhhh what happened LMAO)!! You already know I had to visit the store (and multiple others just because 💀) and buy some stuff. That was how I found out about their collab 🤣
I totally agree about the ageism. It makes me sad, but I’m also happy to see people like our Lola here support and love Enha regardless. People of all ages do love our boys and that’s how it should be!
